For deluge and preaction sprinkler system
1- Activating the system, whether the different types of preaction (single – double – non interlock) or the deluge, is activated through 3 types of mechanisms
A- Electric release through fire detectors
B- Hydraulic release through Pilot line with machine guns
C- Pneumatic release through the Pilot line with machine guns
2- The size of the pilot line in points B and C is 0.5in up to the length of 1000 feet, and the size increases thereafter.
3- The type of sprinkler used as a heat sensor in B and C is fixed temperature activation, which size is 0.5in and is a quick response type and has a temperature of 57C, 68C, 79C, 93C.
4- The shape of the deflector is different from the standard sprinkler, but the standard sprinkler can be used as an alternative, it must be corrosion resistant in the outdoor protections.
5- The distance between the sprinklers on the pilot line according to the NFPA 13 standard, it will be a maximum of 3.7 m in the indoor protections and 2.4 m in the outdoor protections.
6- In the catalogs, the distances between each sprinkler and the other are described as 12 meters.
