When does a change occur in the design area of the fire sprinkler system in normal applications other than warehouses?
This is done in 3 cases:
1- Using quick response sprinklers, the design area is reduced by 25:40%, depending on the ceiling height, provided the following is achieved:
A- The hazard shall be light hazard.
b- The sprinkler system shall be of the wet type.
C – The ceiling height is not more than 6m.
D- There is no unprotected ceiling pocket with an area of more than 3 square meters.
f- There are no unprotected areas with cloud ceilings.
2- The design area is increased by 30% if the sprinkler system is used
Dry system , double interlock preaction
3- The design area is increased by 30% in the case of inclined ceilings if the slope exceeds 16.7%.
What is the reason for points 2, 3?
